Terms of Use
Last updated: November 3, 2026
These Terms are an agreement between you and The Chad App ("we", "us"). They include the Risk notice and work alongside our Privacy policy. By making an account or using the app you accept them. If you don't accept them, don't use the app.
You are solely and fully responsible for your own trades.
- Every trade in your wallet is your decision, including the trades made automatically by copy trading (Copy Influence) and Auto-Trade.
- Automatic trades happen only because you chose to turn them on, and they stay your responsibility for as long as they are on. Turning them on and off is up to you, and you can turn them off at any time.
- The Chad App takes no responsibility for anyone's decisions or results in the app, automatic trades included.
- Not financial advice. Nothing in the app is financial or investment advice, and there are no guarantees. Memecoins can go to zero, and you can lose all of the money you put in.
About the app
The Chad App is a memecoin research and trading app for Solana (and, for members, Robinhood Chain), at thechadapp.com and in the Chad App phone apps. These Terms cover the website, the phone apps and every feature in them. The app is operated by The Chad App.
Copy Influence is the part of the app that is open to anyone on the website. It follows the public wallets of well-known Solana traders, and of other wallets you choose, and if you turn it on it copies their trades in your own wallet. The rest of the app (Chad's calls, Auto-Trade, copying members, the Den and more) is a private beta for members.
Who can use it
- 18 or older only. You confirm your age when you make your account. Don't use the app if you are under 18 or under the age of majority where you live.
- Not where it is prohibited. Don't use the app where trading crypto assets, copy trading or apps like this one are against the law, or where using it would break a law that applies to you. You are responsible for knowing and following the laws where you are, including tax laws.
- No sanctioned persons or places. You may not use the app if you are the target of sanctions (for example on a US, UK, EU or UN sanctions list), or if you are in, or ordinarily live in, a country or region under comprehensive sanctions.
- Region blocking. Copy Influence checks the country your connection comes from. It is closed in some places and wherever we can't tell where you are. Copies don't buy while your account was last seen in such a place. Don't use a VPN or other tools to hide where you are.
- One account each, with true details. Don't make accounts to get around a limit, and don't use anyone else's account.
Your account
A public account (a "Copy account") can use Copy Influence only. Members get the rest of the private beta. The ways in are a Robert holder's invite, or holding a Robert yourself. When you become a member, the same account, wallet and copies carry on. A member who loses their seat goes back to a Copy account.
Keep your sign-in details and your passkey devices safe. You are responsible for everything done with your account and your passkeys. Tell us at once if you think someone else has used them.
Your decisions, your responsibility
You are solely and fully responsible for every trade in your wallet: the ones you make yourself, and the ones made for you automatically by copy trading and Auto-Trade.
- You choose whether to turn copy trading or Auto-Trade on, whom to copy, how much each trade may use, and when to turn them off. Those choices are yours alone.
- An automatic trade happens only because you chose to turn the feature on. It is still your trade and your responsibility, even though you didn't tap anything for it.
- The Chad App does not decide what you trade, and takes no responsibility for anyone's decisions or results in the app, including automatic trades, copies of other traders, and anything you do based on information shown in the app.
- Only trade with money you can afford to lose entirely.
Copy trading and Auto-Trade
- Off until you turn it on. Nothing trades automatically until you turn it on yourself. You can turn any copy, or Auto-Trade, off at any time, and then it buys nothing more. Coins it already bought stay in your wallet until they are sold.
- Whom you copy. You pick traders from our board, or paste a wallet address or profile link to copy a wallet you found yourself. You are responsible for whom you choose to copy.
- How a copy works. When a trader you picked buys a coin, your wallet buys it too, for the amount you set. When they sell, your copy sells if you left "Sell when they sell" on, or by the sell rules you picked.
- Copies land after the trader. Your copy is a separate trade made after theirs. It can fill at a worse price than theirs, a moment later, or not at all. A trade that made money for the trader can lose money for you.
- Copies can be skipped. A copy can be skipped or delayed, for example when a coin already ran past your "Don't chase" line, a limit was reached, a coin failed a safety check, the network was busy, or copying was paused.
Copy Influence limits
Copy accounts are held to these limits, checked on our server and not only on your screen:
- 0.25 SOL to 1 SOL on each copied buy.
- Up to 5 SOL of copied buys a day, across every trader. This counts the size of each copied buy, not the fees on top of it.
- Up to 3 traders copied at once in total. They can be traders from our board or, for up to 3 of them, other wallets you find yourself by pasting a wallet address or profile link. A wallet that belongs to a member of the app can't be copied from a Copy account. Every limit and coin check here applies to a pasted wallet too.
- Speed: Normal or Fast.
Limits protect the service. They don't make trading safe, and staying within them is not advice that an amount is right for you.
Coin checks
Before a copied buy for a Copy account, the coin is checked. The buy is skipped when the coin's creator can still mint more of it or freeze holders' coins, when its RugCheck score is bad, or when the check can't be read. Other warnings are shown but don't stop the buy. Checks use data from third parties, can be wrong, and lower the risk without removing it. A coin that passes can still be a scam or go to zero.
Fees
Making an account is free. On trades made by copy trading (Copy Influence) and Auto-Trade we charge:
- 5% of the profit on a sell that closes in profit. A sell at a loss pays no profit fee.
- 0.5% on each buy and each sell, win or lose. On a trade worth under $25 the fee is raised so it is usually at least 5 cents, but never more than 2% of the trade.
Example: a copy buys for 0.25 SOL and sells for 0.35 SOL. The profit is 0.10 SOL. The fees are 0.005 SOL (5% of the profit) plus 0.003 SOL (0.5% of the buy and of the sell). You keep +0.092 SOL. A copy that loses still pays the buy and sell fees.
- Inside the trade. Fees are taken as part of the trade, from the wallet that trades. If a fee can't be taken inside a trade, it may be paid from that wallet in a small separate transaction right after.
- A fee never blocks a sell. If the fee can't be worked out or taken in time, your sell still goes ahead.
- Part of our fee goes to others. When a copy sells in profit, 1% of the profit (out of our 5%) goes to the trader whose wallet was copied; if that trader hasn't claimed their wallet in the app yet, it is held for them. If someone's invite link brought you in, they get 1% of the profit for 12 months. When a member copies another member, part of our profit fee goes to the member who was copied. It comes out of our fee, never on top of it: you pay the same either way.
- Network fees. Solana's own network fees are paid from your wallet on every transaction, as with any Solana wallet. They are not ours. The Fast speed pays a higher Solana priority fee to get trades in sooner (up to 0.002 SOL a trade); it goes to the network, not to us.
Fees for other features are shown in the app before you use them. We may change our fees; a new fee applies only to trades made after it is shown in the app and on this page.
Your wallet and your keys
- Self-custody. Your wallet is yours. Its keys are created and held by our wallet provider, Turnkey, in secure hardware, and they are secured by your passkey (Face ID, fingerprint or your device PIN). We never hold your wallet's private keys.
- A limited trading key. For copies, Auto-Trade and exit orders to trade without a tap, you approve a limited key for your trading wallet. It can only make swaps from that wallet and pay our fees from those trades. It can't send your money anywhere else. Its secret part is stored encrypted on our servers so it can trade while you're away; turning it off revokes it. Apart from those keys, a trade, a withdrawal or a send needs your own passkey approval.
- You stay in control. You can stop any copy or Auto-Trade, revoke a trading key, withdraw your funds and export your wallet's private key at any time. Withdrawals are designed to keep working even while trading is paused.
- Keep access. If you lose every device with your passkey and haven't exported your key, you may lose access to your wallet, and we may not be able to help you get it back.
- Blockchain transactions are final. Nobody, including us, can reverse a transaction on a blockchain. Check addresses before you send.
Not financial advice
Nothing in the app is financial, investment, legal or tax advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell or hold anything. That includes Chad's calls, the trader board, rankings, profit and win-rate figures, coin checks, examples and anything else shown in the app. We are not your broker, adviser or fiduciary, and using the app creates no fiduciary relationship. We make no guarantee of any result, and past results are not a sign of future ones. Do your own research, and get independent advice if you need it.
Traders and third-party services
The traders on the board are tracked from public blockchain data. They are not affiliated with The Chad App, don't endorse it, and don't know you copy them. Their figures are their own past trades, not what a copy of them earned.
The app relies on services that are not ours, such as the Solana network, Jupiter (swaps), pump.fun (new coins), Turnkey (wallets and keys) and RugCheck (coin checks). We don't control them and aren't responsible for them. Prices, scores and other data from them, or from public blockchains, can be late or wrong, and are shown as they are.
Using the app fairly
Don't use the app to break any law; to launder money or fund anything illegal; to manipulate a market (for example pump-and-dump schemes or wash trading); to attack, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service; to get around a limit, a check or a block; or to harass other people.
Changes, pauses and stopping features
The app is new and changes often. We may change, pause, limit or stop any feature, or the whole service, at any time and without notice, for example to keep the service safe, to follow the law, or because a provider we rely on stops working. That includes pausing new accounts, new copies or all copy trading. When we pause trading, we design it so withdrawals keep working.
Suspending or closing an account
You can stop using the app and ask us to delete your account at any time (see the Privacy policy). Withdraw your funds or export your key first. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms, that we must close by law, or that puts other people or the service at risk. Even then we will not take your funds: you can still withdraw them or export your key, unless a law or a court stops us.
No guarantees
The app is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise that the app will be available, on time, secure or free of errors, that a trade or a copy will go through or at a given price, that any information is accurate, or that you will make money.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, The Chad App and the people who run it are not liable for any loss or damage that comes from using the app or not being able to use it, including trading losses, losses from automatic trades or copies, missed or late trades, coin or market movements, a third party's actions or failures (including wallet, blockchain, data and hosting providers), or the loss of your passkeys or keys. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or loss of profit, data or opportunity.
Where the law doesn't allow us to exclude liability, our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
Your promise to us
If someone makes a claim against us because of how you used the app, or because you broke these Terms or the law, you agree to cover the loss and reasonable costs this causes us, to the extent the law allows.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that can't be settled informally goes to the state or federal courts located in Colorado, unless the law where you live gives you a right to bring it elsewhere. Nothing here takes away consumer rights that the law where you live doesn't let us take away.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will change the date at the top, and if a change is significant we will tell you in the app. If you keep using the app after a change, you accept the new Terms. If you don't accept them, stop using the app and withdraw your funds.
